Guest Speaker: Joanne Lee - Navigating and demystifying Mental Health Services. Joanne Lee is a senior (registered) mental health clinician with 25+ years nursing experience. This includes 17 years working as a mental health clinician, within both community and acute hospital environments in the ACT and interstate. In this talk, Joanne will discuss: What is a mental health crisis? When should people (including clinicians) seek help? What services are available? How do people who are unwell or their carers access mental health services? She will also talk about what it means to be admitted under the Mental Health Act (2015). All practicing Members and individuals who have a friend/family member suffering from mental illness/dysfunction will find this talk particually beneficial.

Entry to meetings: $5.00 for Members, Associates, and visitors.

The Journal of the Psychophysical Therapists Guild of Australia is distributed free to all members and is available by subscription.
