The ethical principles of the Psychophysical Therapists Guild of Australia are to be found embodied in the Healer's Oath as administered by the Guild to prospective Members:
"I vow that
I will be chaste and ethical in my life as a therapist and that I will be honest.- mentally, physically and emotionally in all my dealings in my profession. I will treat people who seek my help as people and never just as patients. I will ensure that their dignity is preserved at all times.
I will refrain from making claims about my prowess and will not defame other therapists or professions. I will maintain my ethics and the dignity of my chosen profession in all my dealings with my teachers, my fellow therapists, and with the general public.
I will seek to recognise my limitations, and work to overcome them, but I will always work within the limits of my ability.
Above all: I will do no harm"
